mission & purpose

Who we are

Our Background

We began in 2017 as a volunteer collective and have grown to over 50 Blaine County community members and organizations working together to prevent suicide and normalize conversations about mental health in our community. We are driven by the guiding principle that suicide prevention is a collaborative, community effort that requires action!

What We Do

Our organization offers a range of programs and resources designed to empower the community. We provide training to recognize warning signs, crisis intervention, and access to mental health support services. By partnering with schools, local businesses, and healthcare providers, we ensure that people know how to help those in need and where to find assistance.

Crisis Hotline

The 5B Alliance continues to serve our community today under the fiscal sponsorship of the Crisis Hotline. As part of our work to continue bringing change, the Alliance actively offers:

  • FREE Education & Outreach workshops, #bethe1to (National campaign) & Sources of Strength (collaboratively with the Blaine County School District)
  • Lethal Means Reduction Campaign
  • Postvention – Community Loss Support
